Phrasing
1.    Model when reading to/with
2.    Read with expression familiar text
3.    Read shorter text and text below instructional level
4.    Use punctuation as a guide for meaning
5.    Go back into text to retrieve information (in phrases - not word by word)
6.    Read at home (at least 20 minutes daily)
7.    Read daily at school (Quiet Reading, Guided Reading, Shared Reading
8.    Write daily (ie. Guided Writing, Shared Writing, Writer‘s Workshop)
9.    Listen/Read to stories on tape
